Savoury Almond Biscuits (grain-free & sugar-free)
These biscuits are great snacks. Lots of protein and good fat to make you feel full for longer, and they taste delicious.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups of ground almonds/almond flour
- 2 tbs of full fat soft goat’s cheese (or 1 very ripe avocado if you don’t want to use dairy)
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (180 if fan oven)
- Mix all ingredients together by hand, mashing it all up until a nice consistency.
- If the mixture is too dry, add a tablespoon of natural yoghurt to it.
- Press down the mixture on a cool surface (granite for instance) that is dusted with a bit of almond flour.
- Press until the thickness you prefer (a rolling pin won’t work!).
- Cut out the biscuits with a cookie cutter and put them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack.
You can vary the flavourings for these biscuits. How about ½ cup of raw cocoa nibs and a pinch of chilli powder? Or if you prefer your biscuits a bit sweeter, use 2 tsp of cinnamon. You can use whatever herb or spice you like.
